TRACTO again recognised as one of 'Germany's innovation leaders'

15.06.23 - Following last year's award, TRACTO has again been recognised as an 'Innovation Leader of Germany'. The F.A.Z. Institute's seal of approval confirms our company's particularly high level of innovation in the 'Earth and rock drilling; mining' category. The rating is based on the results of a study carried out by the economic research institute Prognos AG, which examines companies for their innovative capacity on an annual basis.

Innovative strength was determined by analysing the global patenting activities of the companies surveyed over the past ten years. A total of 180,000 companies were examined, 33,000 of them from Germany. For the patent analyses, the study used data from the EPO Worldwide Patent Statistical Database (PATSTAT) of the European Patent Office. The assessment of innovation capacity was based on the criteria 'leadership' and 'innovativeness'. The first looks at how much an invention influences other inventions. The second criterion assesses how much an invention differs from previous inventions. A coordinate system can then be used to determine the extent to which these criteria apply to the inventions studied. Companies are considered innovation leaders if they are exceptionally innovative, if their innovations have a significant impact on the relevant field of innovation and if they lead the innovation competition.

With the award of "Germany's Innovation Leader 2023", TRACTO is in good company with around 3,000 German companies who have also received the seal this year. These include other hidden champions as well as world-famous brands. The award is a valuable endorsement of the ingenuity of our Nodig system designers and motivates everyone in the company to make trenchless the standard in pipeline construction by providing innovative solutions.
