RECYCLING WITH SYSTEM

Depending on the soil conditions and drilling parameters, large amounts of drilling fluid may be required. The costs for water consumption, Bentonite and additives such as polymers are correspondingly high. Hence, it is worthwhile to recycle the used HDD drilling fluid for multiple use.

With an efficient recycling technology, the solids that are absorbed by the drilling fluid during drilling are almost completely separated again. This means that the cleaned mud can be continuously reused in a closed mud circuit. This accelerates the drilling progress, significantly reduces wear on drilling tools and pumps and lowers the consumption of water and bentonite. This way, the multiple use of the drilling fluid and the separation of the solids through recycling sustainably increase the economic efficiency of an HDD bore.

As a general rule, the more efficient the recycling plant, the lower the costs for resources and disposal. Only a high-quality and technically mature recycling technology guarantees maximum separation of the cuttings from the drilling fluid so that it can be reused with no worries. INTELLIGENT CONTROL TECHNOLOGY

Numerous functions of the mixing unit run automatically or can be controlled remotely to make the work as easy and efficient as possible: Various pumps and motors can be controlled directly from the drilling rig, as can feeding the drilling rig with drilling fluid. Displays on the drilling rig and the mixing unit enable the permanent monitoring of various functions at the same time, such as the operating status of the power units, the position of the valves, as well as the filling level of the collection, mixing and freshwater tanks. When filling the tanks, an intelligent control technology also ensures a smooth process: Once the maximum capacity is reached, the filling process stops automatically and avoiding an overflowing of the tank. As an option, cameras can be integrated to visually monitor the material on the screens and therefore guarantee a high degree of separation and a flawless operation.
