GRUNDOPIT PS60 mini HDD rig for Davidson Land Services

Utilities, drainage and groundworks are amongst the company’s specialisations and the company has used a number of TRACTO GRUNDOMAT moles for many years for pipe installations. This year, to enable the company to expand their scope of work, a PS60 GRUNDOPIT mini drill rig was added to the fleet and Davidson Land Services took delivery of the unit just in time to display on its stand at the Peebles Agricultural Show in August.

Malcolm Davidson, Managing Director, founded the business in 2015 and is a big supporter of investing to support the local economy and for future generations of his family. Taking delivery of the compact, but powerful PS60 was the next step of his trenchless technology journey and will enable the business to compete for bigger and more challenging jobs in Scotland and the north of England. 

He also bought a T-VAC vacuum excavator from VAC-EX to work alongside the mini drill rig. With a proliferation of cables in the ground the T-VAC will be able to clear muck and earth out of the launch pit prior to the drill to ensure all cables are visible. 

Malcolm originally saw the PS60 at a demonstration at the TRACTO site in Bedford. Impressed with the performance he placed the order earlier this year and is now hoping to support the agricultural sector with drainage projects, as well as utility sector pipe renewal and installations.
