Twice as sustainable: Trenchless house connections for green electricity

Installing new house connections for green electricity under a busy street in the historic town centre of Landsberg am Lech - that was the task ahead. In this case, the medieval city centre only allowed one solution and direction: trenchless under the street. A case for the GRUNDOMAT soil displacement hammer, which makes its way efficiently and precisely, especially in narrow inner-city areas and through the most difficult soils.

The electricity supply of the city of Landsberg is 100% hydroelectric. Renovation measures on the footpaths and cycle paths on Hindenburgring in the old town were used there to replace six old electricity house connections with new service lines using the soil displacement hammer. For this purpose, new protection pipes were installed over 6, 11, 5 (x2) as well as 8 and 4 m and the power cables with the appropriate accessories were pulled in directly. With the precise GRUNDOMAT, this was completed in three working days.
